Billy Zane is a Vampire in ‘Blood Rush’

This littel nugget of horror gold comes from Deadline, who report that Principal photography for the film has already wrapped, which means the film will now be heading for post-production. This timing means that Blood Rush should be out this year.

Zane star as Aamon, one of two sibling s of the Devil. Playing Aamon’s sister is Danielle Bisutti (Curse of Chucky) as Lilith. Joining them is Henry Ian Cusick (Desmond from Lost) who will be playing Van Helsing. Bisutti has also directed the film alongside her co-director, Stefan Colson.

The synopsis reads thus:

“Set in 1881 during the American Western Frontier gold rush, the story follows Lucifer’s children, Lilith and Aamon, the original vampires who fly to the Americas to suck the living hope out of the common folk’s blood that’s been revived by the promise of the American Dream… But plans to restore their Vampiric reign are thwarted when an old Familiar shows up, threatening to reveal their true nature if only his complicated feelings for The Vamps don’t bloody the waters.”

The cast also includes William McNamara (Copycat), Christina Moore (90210), Colin Cunningham (Falling Skies), Ken Davitian (Borat), and Robert Craighead (Shirley/Miss Governor).  That’s a lot of TV stars coming togther for hopefully somethign special.

I’m not one to turn down a good vampire film, so i’ll be awaiting more news (and hopefully a cool trailer) whihc should be coming as the post-production vamps up. I’ll keep my vampire slaying kit on stand-by.
