Time Travel in films can get a little messy, and it’s when it’s done well that it becomes more compelling. James Cameron’s 1984 mega hit The Terminator, pretty much nailed this sci-fi aspect, with Skynet sending a cyborg back in time to kill the leader of the resistances mother, Sarah Connor. But there is one aspect of the Terminator that is a little twisty. Carl Reese, the resistance fighter from the future sent back to protect Sarah, ends up being John Connor’s father. CorderyFX has a theory which might just explain how this all works, looking at multiple timelines that play out very differently each time.
