The New Evil Dead Movie Has An Official Title
Bruce spoke with Diabolique Magazine about his new book The Cool Side of My Pillow, where they delve into his writing style, COVID-19 isolation and the cancelled conventions that it has caused. But for horror fans, the biggest news comes in the form of a title reveal for Sam Raimi's next chapter in the Evil Dead franchise. When asked about the new film, Bruce said
"The official name is Evil Dead Rise. We’re getting a new draft in. I don’t think anything will happen until 2021. Full bore ahead, we’re very excited about it. A whole, new ballgame. No more cabin in the woods."
No cabin in the woods. We can only guess that Raimi's script will be moving things along, as we have already had a remake that trod a familiar path from the original film.
