Scream 7 Pays ‘Homage to Chainsaw’ Massacre

by | Jan 20, 2026

There’s no better way to compliment a film than with a good old-fashioned homage. And that is exactly what the latest poster for Scream 7 has done, with a well-designed tribute to one of the greatest classic slashers, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

The latest chapter of the long-running franchise slices its way into cinemas on February 27, courtesy of Paramount, with screenings planned across IMAX, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, and other premium large formats.

Original Scream (1996) writer Kevin Williamson steps into the director’s chair, working from a script by Guy Busick, who previously penned Scream (2022) and Scream VI (2023).

This time around, a new Ghostface stalks the quiet town where Sidney Prescott has finally tried to build a peaceful life. When her daughter becomes the killer’s next obsession, Sidney is forced to confront old wounds and unfinished business, determined to end the cycle of violence for good.

Neve Campbell returns to the role that defined her career, joined by franchise mainstays Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Matthew Lillard, Scott Foley, Mason Gooding, and Jasmin Savoy Brown.

They’re backed by an expanded cast including Isabel May, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Asa Germann, Anna Camp, Ethan Embry, Mark Consuelos, Michelle Randolph, and Jimmy Tatro.

With new promotional material out in the wild… expect a shiny new trailer very soon.
