Release Date Set for The Conjuring: First Communion (2027)

The Conjuring Universe refuses to die (Thankfully), and that is why Warner Bros. has announced a new Conjuring film, mere months after releasing “The Last Rites“, which we were told would be the final film for Ed and Lorraine Warren.
The new film will be a prequel that jumps us back to the very beggining. Rumours spinning around hint that we may be going back to the Amityville House , which we have seen in flash backs, but never actually fully explored. Which is pretty weird when you consider that the Amityville Horror is one of the Warren’s most famous cases.
No matter what story the new film explores, Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema are once again turning the lights off and the crucifixes upside down as they officially confirmed that the next chapter in its long‑running horror franchise, will be The Conjuring: First Communion (2027), will arrive in cinemas on 10 September 2027.
The film will be directed by Rodrigue Huart from a script written by Richard Naing and Ian Goldberg. At the time of writing, no cast or plot details have been announced, though the project remains firmly under the watchful eye of franchise architects James Wan and Peter Safran, who return as producers.
Released in September 2025, Last Rites (2025) went on to become the highest‑grossing film in the entire franchise, pulling in $494.7 million worldwide, making the franchise worth roughly $2.7 billion to date. no wonder the studios are keen to keep this bloody river flowing.
It’s unlikely that Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will be reprising thier roles after Last Rites, but i’m sure that nothign is off the table right now.
More news on this as soon as the table stops floating and the doors stop slamming…
