Brad Pitt Could be Producing ‘Beetlejuice 2’
We’ve been talking about a sequel to Beetlejuice ever since the film hit cinemas back in 1988, with a script even being written that would have seen the ghost with the most hitting the beaches of Hawaii. Yes, I kid you not, Warner Bros offered up a sequel called Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian and even offered up this tasteless sequel to director Tim Burton. With the choice of either making a sequel to Batman or Beetlejuice, Burton abandoned the spooky venture for the superhero follow-up. Either way, Warner Brothers were getting yet another Burton and Michael Keaton team up. Withy Burton out, the sequel fell apart.
However, it does seem like now would be a great time to revisit the classic black comedy, especially considering that Keaton is currently jumping back into the boots of Batman this year, he may well be inclined to shake the juice up too. Actor aside, in order to get this project off the ground, it will take a much more powerful force to push it uphill, which is where Brad Pitt comes into this story. Jeff Sneider, the Senior Film Reporter at Collider, dropped a tweet recently that claims the award winning actor actor will producing the new film.
EXCLUSIVE: Brad Pitt’s company Plan B has come aboard to produce BEETLEJUICE 2, which could shoot this summer with original stars Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder reprising their roles. No Alec Baldwin though… https://t.co/XuCg0XVNdF pic.twitter.com/QeiK3BneUt

Sneider also claims that Keaton and Winona Ryder w2ill also both be reprising their roles. He also mentions that Alec Baldwin would not be joining the project. There’s no real surprise there as the actor still feeling the fallout over the recent Rust shooting incident. However, no love for Geena Davis, Catherine O’Hara or Jeffrey Jones?
I guess we’ll be getting more news soon on this growing story. Maybe if we say his name three times?
