The Best New Horror Movies on Netflix US – JUNE 2022
The Netflix home for horror is constantly changing, so we’re always keeping tabs on the best new titles arriving on the service to keep you in the know. It’s a small update this month, but there are two very exciting Stephen King films being added and two new shows that look awesome. Here is The Best New Horror Movies on Netflix US – JUNE 2022.
New to Netflix in JUNE 2022
First Kill (2022) [Series]
A brand new Vampire TV series looks ready to rip open throats in June, as this LGBTQ series sets Vampire and Hunter at odds when they fall in love. Queer horror with a Buffy the Vampire vibe… count me in!
“Falling in love is tricky for teens Juliette and Calliope: One’s a vampire, the other’s a vampire hunter and both are ready to make their first kill.”
Stars: Sarah Catherine Hook & Imani Lewis
Added to Netflix: 10th June 2022
IT (2017)
Stephen King’s IT remake hits Netflix in June, bringing us our first of two King films coming to the service this month.
“Seven helpless and bullied children are forced to face their worst nightmares when Pennywise, a shape-shifting clown, reappears. The clown, an ancient evil torments children before feeding on them”
Stars: Bill Skarsgård, Jaeden Martell & Finn Wolfhard
Date Added: June 19th 2022
The Mist (2007)
The second Stephen King film to drop on June is the film based on his classic Novella about a strange mist that sets upon a small town.
“A freak storm unleashes a species of bloodthirsty creatures on a small town, where a small band of citizens hole up in a supermarket and fight for their lives.”
Stars: Thomas Jane & Marcia Gay Harden
Added to Netflix: 22nd June 2022
Bastard!! – Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy (2022)
This interestingly named show is a Japanese anime series based on the Bastard!! manga by Kazushi Hagiwara. This animation is coming your way at the end of the month.
“When evil forces threaten to resurrect Anthrasax, the God of Destruction, the Kingdom of Meta-llicana calls on a volatile dark wizard for help.”
Stars: Yôko Hikasa & Kishô Taniyama
Added to Netflix: 30th June 2022
And that’s it for now. We’ll be back next month with another list of bloody frights hitting Netflix in July.
