Kiefer Sutherland Joins Flatliner Remake

We reported in March that the Flatliners re-make was well on it’s way with a cast already set, but some awesome news have arisen, thanks to Deadline, who are reporting that Kiefer Sutherland will also be joining the cast. Sutherland will play a seasoned doctor, along the med students played by Ellen Page,  Diego Luna, Nina Dobrev, James Norton and Kiersey Clemons.

The original thriller followed five medical students who decide to trigger near-death experiences by purposely stopping their hearts, but are haunted by the paranormal forces that they bring back with them. The reboot looks to follow in the same haunted footsteps.

The Flatliners remake is being directed by Niels Arden Oplev (the Swedish Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) from a script by Ben Ripley (Source Code). Filming starts in Toronto soon.
