Stephen Kings IT Wraps

Stephen Kings IT started shooting in Toronto in early June, starring Bill Skarsgård as the titular Clown. Yesterday was Stephen King’s birthday and also the day in which IT officially finished filming. Yep IT is in the bag! 

Andrés Muschietti. celebrated this monumental occasion via instagram, where he has been teasing fans with images, since production started. The image, with a pop up clown, gives nothing away, but it is kinda creepy.

And yes, it’s a wrap on #itthemovie. Thank you amazing cast and crew for this magical journey. And thank you #stephenking for giving us this tale.

Does the clown above have anything to do with the film? Well it certainly looks like the clown teased a short while back. Whilst we can only guess of its involvement in the film (maybe as a creepy gift for the Losers?). It’s nonetheless exciting to know that we are that bit closer to seeing IT on the big screen.

Two other productions are currently underway based on Stephen King stories. Including the Dark Tower and The Stand and Spike TV has ordered a series adaptation of King’s horror story The Mist. So it looks like 2017 could be the year of KING!
