Saw Sequel Title Revealed: JIGSAW
Lionsgate took to twitter on tuesday to confirm the new title of its 8th film. Using the official Saw twitter page, the announcement was made that the eighth film will be called JIGSAW. Previously called Saw: Legacy, the new short title really hammers home what to expect from the next saw film, more Jigsaw! Yes, we know that it’s completely crazy to expect a sequel to being back John Kramer (Tobin Bell), who died way back in the third film, but the film will utilise John in some manner, as he is…you know… Jigsaw!

And Tobin chimed in, telling us:

The film is currently in pre-production under the careful hands of Peter and Michael Spierig ( Daybreakers and Predestination). The film stars Laura Vandervoort (Smallville) and Hannah Anderson (Reign). This is the very first film in the long running film series to only have one (confirmed) returning cast member…and that’s Jigsaw himself, John Kramer. Be excited Horror Fans. The film is out for this Halloween (traditional release) , October 27th.
Dead bodies begin to turn up all over the city, each meeting their demise in a variety of grisly ways. All investigations begin to point the finger at deceased killer John Kramer.
