 📗 SUMMARY
  • Warner Bros. tricks mums with a fake rom-com screening
  • Surprise film is Final Destination: Bloodlines (2025), shown early
  • Tony Todd returns for his final role as William Bludworth

Warner Bros. pulled off a devious prank just in time for Mother’s Day. Moms and their unsuspecting guests were invited to what was billed as a feel-good screening of a brand new romantic comedy called Love at the Sky View — only to discover that the film doesn’t exist. Instead, the audience got an early, full-throttle look at Final Destination: Bloodlines (2025). You can check out their hilarious, horrified reactions in the video below.

Landing in cinemas this Friday via New Line Cinema and Warner Bros., this sixth chapter in the infamous franchise rewinds time to explore the origins of Death’s cruel obsession with balance — and what happens when fate gets personal.

Haunted by relentless, blood-soaked nightmares, college student Stefanie (played by Kaitlyn Santa Juana) returns home in a desperate bid to find the one person who might help her break Death’s cycle and rescue her family from a tw2isted bloody fate.

Joining Santa Juana are Teo Briones (Chucky) and Richard Harmon (The 100), with a supporting cast including Owen Patrick Joyner , Anna Lore , Rya Kihlstedt, and Brec Bassinger.

Horror fans will want to savour this: the late genre icon Tony Todd returns for his final appearance as the enigmatic William Bludworth, the franchise’s resident harbinger of doom.

Directing duties fall to Zach Lipovsky & Adam Stein, the duo behind Freaks (2018), while the screenplay comes from Guy Busick (Scream 5, Scream VI) and Lori Evans Taylor (Cellar Door).

Better warn your mum before buying those tickets. Death’s design doesn’t care about family celebrations — but horror fans will have a bloody good time.
