Another ‘Leprechaun’ Reboot is on it’s way!

Hide your pot of gold, Lionsgate are abouit to unleash the dreaded Leprechaun once more.

The film franchsie started life back in 1993 when director and writer Mark Jones brought a the legendary creature to the big screens for gore filled adventure that brough famed actor Warwick Davis into the folder of the horror genre. Davis filmed three full feature films untill the era of direct to DVD pushed the green meanie into bargin bins around the world with three more films. Leprechaun: Origins (2014) marked the very first reboot, with WWF star Dylan Postl (better known by his ring name Hornswoggle) stepping i nto the small green shoes of the titual character. Howver the filmed failed to amke much of an impression and the  next attempt was a semi reboot that took place after the events of the orginal film, similarly to how the Halloween (2018) reboot was handled by Blumhouse. Leprechaun Returns (2018) featured Linden Porco as the Leprechaun after Warwick Davis elected not to return. 

Well the green drought is about to be over, as horror veterans Patrick Melton & Marcus Dunstan (famed for writing Saw 3D and The Collector) step into producing roles for the new entry.

Deadline report that Koules was super excited about bringing this famed horror villian to a new generation, saying:

"After producing all the Saw films, and twenty-three wonderful years at Lionsgate, I’m thrilled to be working again with the Lionsgate team, Patrick and Marcus, and my son, Miles, on a terrifying new way into the rich world of Leprechaun."

Sadly it's far to early for any more news then this annoncment, but we'll be sure to update you all once this project grows. So grab a four leaf clover... the Leprechaun is about to be let loose.
