Meet Your New Pennywise
Coulrophobia sufferers will weep tonight , as news comes in via a little paper boat! The new adaption of Stephen Kings IT has had a troubled production, but it would seem that there is some light at the end of the sewer tunnel, as the new face of “Pennywise the Dancing Clown” is finally cast.
The Honor goes to Bill Skarsgård, who will be joining Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs and Jeremy Ray Taylor, in the terrifying adaption of the book. The Films in good hands too as Mama Director Andy Muschietti is helming the film. Muschietti promises that the big screen adaptation of IT will be an R rated (15) and have more horror and gore, similar to the book. The original 1990 TV miniseries had some horror but little gore (The blood that came out of the book, sink and balloons.).
In the little town of Derry, something is killing the local children. Something dark has taken hold of the town and only a group of seven friends can fight IT. The creature awaits them in the endless dark of the sewers, and it knows what they fear!
The film will be released in two parts, with the first haunting our screens in 2017, but if your can’t wait that long, I can highly recommend reading the book. It’s one of the most terrifying things I’ve ever read.
“The clown seized his arm, and George saw the clown’s face change. What he saw then was terrible enough to make his worst imaginings of the thing in the cellar look like sweet dreams; what he saw destroyed his sanity in one clawing stroke.
Everything down here floats,’ that chuckling, rotten voice whispered, and suddenly there was a ripping noise and a flaring sheet of agony, and George Denbrough knew no more.”
Please be good please be good please be good please be good.
Not sure how they are gonna squeeze the book into even 2 films, but fingers crossed!
