Stephen King has gone on record multiple times about how Pet Sematary is one of his most darkest stories. And whilst most of King's work dips it's big hairy toe into the pool of disturbing things, Pet Sematary is primary concen is that of death, or at least trying to come to terms with it. It's a twisted tale about family, tragedy and death. The 1989 movie did a pretty good job of brining this ideas onto the big screen. The 2019 film did not. Sooo what on earth happened in 30 years.
