Fright Night (1985) is a clever, fan favorite bite of vampire cinema: set in suburbia, it follows Charlie Brewster as he realises his charming new neighbour, Jerry Dandrige, is a vampire and must find help from washed‑up TV horror host Peter Vincent to save his girlfriend and his town. The film blends real scares, sharp character moments and playful vampire lore, anchored by standout performances from Chris Sarandon, William Ragsdale and Roddy McDowall.
