Thank You Blu-Ray: Goldfinger – James Bond Spot
He might be tall, dark and handsome, but even Sean Connery’s James Bond suffers the everyday blights of us normal human beings. Thanks to the high clarity and crystal clear transfer, the Blu-Ray copy of the third 007 film Goldfinger (1964) reveals that the scottish actor may have had a bad case of acne whilst filming.
You can see the offending mark very clearly as 007 leans in to to galnce at the telescope, which is pointed at Goldfingers card game.
Eagle eyed viewers might even spot the Connery is mostly shot from the left hand side for a large portion of the film, and when he is framed more centrally, clevery placed (now completley obvious to you the viewer) dirty, grime or blood.
Not to fear, buy the end of filming, the spots had cleared up and connery can retain his title as the sexiest James Bond every to grace opur screens. Thank you Blu-Ray!
