Fiona Dourif Will Return for ‘Chucky’ Television Series!
Fiona Dourif is the the daughter of actor Brad Dourif, who has iconically voiced Chucky throughout the franchise. Like her father, Fiona has become a big part of the franchise, making her first appearance in Curse of Chucky (2013) as Nica Pierce, a paraplegic woman with an unspecified heart disease triggered by stress. She reprised her role in Cult of Chucky (2017) and now it looks like she be joining the cast of the television series.
Nica Pierce battled Chucky in two films, with the series leaving a cliff hanger that saw Charles Lee Ray’s spirit finally finding it’s way inside a human host, that of Nica. Will the series continue this plotline?
Here’s the official synopsis from SyFy, and it sounds pretty awesome.
“After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster”
