Resident Evil 2 Remake: 20 Big Differences
” So… this is what everyone’s been dying for… “
It’s easy to understand why so many people are excited about the Resident Evil 2 remake. The game defined the first playstation, and was one of the most scariest, goriest and ambitious games that came out for it. RE2 let you play as one of two main characters as they arrive in Raccoon City, amidst the zombie out that followed the first game. With the T virus aout on the streets, the game takes out heros to the barricaded and (almost) deserted police station, where they begin to make some horrific discoveries. Filled with zombies, mutated creatures and an alligator that would give King Kong a run for his money, RE2 was not short on spectacle. But it’s blocky graphics and fixed camera angles have not aged well, which means that a re-make is one single hot property.
Last year, a bunch of fans had started to put together a HD version of the game, but Capcom quickly put a stop to it, and this started the rumors of a proper remake of the game. Well the rumours were true and Resident Evil 2 was announced at E3 2018. A bunch of lucky individuals were invited to play 20 minutes of the game, and Outside Xbox were one of the few to get their mucky paws on it. With plucky new graphics, a new game engine and total re-write of the games plot, there’s bound to be a lot of changes between the two games.
Outside Xbox break down some of the big changes they spotted whilst at E3. Resident Evil 2 will be coming our way in January 2019. Until then, here is Resident Evil 2 Remake: 20 Big Differences.
