Nightmare on Elm Street Without it’s Cast is Still Creepy!
Ask any one what makes A Nightmare on Elm Street scary, and they will probably say Freddy Kruger. But a recent video from Hungry Creature Productions proves them wrong.
Wes Craven based his hit film on a very real ’70s phenomenon of Hmong refugees inexplicably dying in their sleep. He took this concept and twisted it into a truly nightmarish vision about a the ghost of a child-killer haunting the dreams of the children of Springwood. Freddy Kruger is an epic figure, with a keen wit and a dark imagination and razor sharp blades weaved into a glove. He is menacing, wicked and deadly. But if you remove him from the film, what happens?
