Did Beetlejuice Commit Suicide?

Did Beetlejuice Commit Suicide?

by | Sep 24, 2019

The Brilliantly bizarre black comedy Beetlejuice is one of Tim Burton’s more ambitious film projects which is jam packed full of visuals and clever details. One of those detail is the subject of a video that we present to you below.

Whilst death is presented in a nonchalant manner, Beetlejuice throws some clever details into the mix.  In a throw away line from narcissistic Otho, he jokes about suicide.

“You know what they say about people who commit suicide? In the afterlife, they become civil servants.”

As the film starts to reveal the after life, there are tell tale signs that Otho might have well been correct. As Beetlejuice used to be a civil servant, working under caseworker Juno, does this mean he too committed Suicide? Youtube channel Channeling Spirits takes it upon themselves to answer this question, looking at early scripts, interviews and rumours.
