Stranger Things Announces Season 3
It’s the Netflix show that every other streaming service wants to emulate, and it’s completely no surprise that Stranger Things has just been officially picked up for a third series. Netflix took to Twitter to break the news!
FOR THE LOVE OF STEVE, DUH! So hold tight baby darts — season 3 is officially happening.

Stranger Things is based in a small Indiana town in the early 80s. and see’s it’s community caught up in secret government experiments and unnerving supernatural forces, and their only hope is very unusual little girl. Filled with pop-culture references, 80’s nostalgia and nods to many different films and TV shows, it’s no wonder it’s resonated with people so much.
The certified pop culture phenomenon exploded onto Netflix in July 2016 and was followed by a second series this October (2017), and it certainly feels like it’s going to a series that could run for many years. However that might not be the case! It’s creators Matt and Ross Duffer have previously spoken about the shows length and they say four and out!
“We’re thinking it will be a four-season thing and then out. We just have to keep adjusting the story, Though I don’t know if we can justify something bad happening to them once a year.”
This is not set in stone though, and it’s very possible that Netflix keep the show running, even if the Duffer Brothers drop out. But after two series of monsters and third coming up, they will have to get creative on why the townsfolk of Hawkins, Indiana are sticking about.
“They’re going to have to get the fuck out of this town! It’s ridiculous!”
No news on when series three will air, but it’s a fair enough guess to suggest october 2018.
