Shane Blacks new Predator movie just got interesting as Arnold Schwarzenegger admits he could be part of the film. With a script already in place and a date of March 2nd, 2018 for a release date, it’s not clear how Arnold would fit in, but even a cameo could be appealing at this point. With rather disappointing entries into the series in recent years, re-visiting Schwarzenegger’s Dutch, could be just what it needs to revive itself. Director Shane Black even starred alongside Schwarzenegger in the original film, so his ties with Arnie delve a little deeper than just his star power.
Schwarzenegger told The Arnold Fans during his annual Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio.
I haven’t talked with him (Shane Black) yet but I’m going to meet with him for lunch sometime soon. Just as soon as I’m finished with this (Arnold’s Sports Festival) and “The Apprentice” and all this stuff. But I will get together with him. If there is any news, we’ll of course let you know right away. There’s also a meeting coming up soon about Conan, about the project moving forward.
The fans want Arnold back and even the big wigs at 20th century fox are behind the move, the question now is if Arnold can fit it into his busy schedule. Considering that Schwarzenegger has not appeared in any of the sequels since the original in 1988, his return would certainly be something to be celebrated.
