For the first time in nearly 20 years, Richard O’Brien, creator and star of the Rocky Horror Show, will be treading the boards once more, rejoining his hit musical for a series of special shows!
O’Brien will be playing the narrator at London’s Playhouse Theatre between 11-19 September with live broadcasts playing in cinemas around the country.
In 1975, the film , based on the stage show, was released , becoming a huge cult classic the world over. The film retained a number of original cast members and starred Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick.
News about these special West End performances , before the new tour starts in December, will have fans very excited.
“I’m looking forward to it,” O’Brien told the BBC. “I love the laughter of the show. I love the noise of approval and laughter, it’s just so joyous.”
